I almost never write follow up posts but I figured this might help someone who’s in the same boat I was. Back in early 2022 my 2017 SQ5’s transmission started slipping badly between 3rd and 4th gear. I was terrified of getting a rebuild because I’d heard so many stories of people spending huge money only to have problems come back after a few months. I ended up going with a place that does Proven Transmission Repair Dubai after a lot of research and hesitation. They quoted me a fair price, gave me a two year warranty, and explained every single thing they were going to replace. Fast forward to now, I’ve put over 40,000 km on the car including two trips to Salalah and plenty of city driving, and the transmission still shifts absolutely perfectly. No leaks, no noises, no slipping. I just wanted to share because I know how stressful it is trying to make this decision. Sometimes the proven shops really do live up to their name. Anyone else have a rebuild that lasted way longer than expected?
